Well, I have really good news. The owner of Gameology is really pumped about hosting this tourney. This was his last email to me:

"I have 4 tv's around that are the CRT sort of style, and I know I can get 4 more when it comes down to it. I think I have one or two orginal xbox's around somewhere, and if you were looking to do eight stations, I probably can get them. Ill talk to my friends at gamestop / video games etc. and get it for us by that time. I am unsure about controllers though. But everyone probably brings there own anyways.

As far as renting out the place, it shouldn't be a problem. The only thing I see being a problem is, is I don't have really anywhere to have like 40 people to sleep. I have like 5 couches, that's it. If people don't mind going to a hotel, I have a friend who's a manager at a hotel around here, and she'd probably be able to get a deal if that many people want to get rooms and such.

And setting up the streaming would be cool too. I have no idea how to do it, so if you do, let me know what I would need.

If you think of anything else, lemme know!"

So if this guy is able to produce tv's and xboxes I'm much less worried now. He has even talked about giving away prizes. I guess all I need now are COMMITTMENTS! I'm hoping that Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, Illinois, Ohio, Colorado, Missouri, Kansas, and Texas will all be able to send teams. Patch even said he's coming if there are enough teams. My guess as to the date will be July 10th, 11th, and 12th weekend.

All rounds are best-of-3. The gametypes listed above may change in the Loser's Bracket if 2 teams meet up again.

The entry fee for the Halo 1 2v2 will be $40 per team (let me know if people are willing to go up to say, $50). Prizes paid out will depend on how many teams compete.

There will also be a FFA to seed the 2v2 tournament. It will have an entry fee of $5 and prizes will be paid out to the top finishers. The prizes will also depend on how many players compete. Players are not required to play in the FFA if they are competing in the 2v2, but it is advised as it will help your teams seed.

The FFA will be 8-man FFA on Derelict.

I borrowed this tourney layout from the last tourney that was supposed to go down at this place. This is by no means final, however, I'm guessing it is fairly close to what people want. Let me know about suggestions, I'm guessing the new maps won't work because it would be crazy trying to softmod all those boxes AND most people aren't playing them.

So this means this thing is definitely a "go"? Or what? Cause i need to dig up a partner(Please God don't make me team with theDUDE). I guess i could always ask Shade and fulfill his lifelong dream.... or JOWNZ and everyone can see my head explode mid-tourny.

lol, ya, that list is not a final tournament layout...it's more of a template to fix as opinion are shared...the maps can definitely be changed if that's what people want...I just borrowed that format because it looked good, i don't know how there would be a tiebreaker in a best of three, lol, but perhaps we can do a best of five in the finals, and "tb" some map other than host rizzape dere, for sure
