suicide penalty has been fixed

longest was initially added so the tournament wouldn't be based off of 5 maps only, however, longest may not even be included in the tournament

It's your tournament, so run it how you want, but FYI Double elim is a terrible idea. $30 for only two guaranteed matches is awful. All of the local college kids will be pissed that they threw away $30 when the lose their first two and won't come back, and no one will travel based on the fact that its just 2 matches. Run Pool Play plus single elim (or double), that way everyone gets 3 or 4 matches guaranteed and everyone will feel like they got plenty of play. Then you can actually have decent seeds based on how they did in pool.

Just a thought from someone who has run like 20 tourneys.

Well my roommate, N4te, believes having a pool FFA seeding will be the best way so most people will get their bang outta their buck - and then have single elimination until finals which will be double...

Nate doesn't know shit ...FYI ... even though I love me some Nate he's never run a big tourney... I'm just saying this from alot of experience. Listen to him, get a lot of bitching. Listen to me, get less. Also your post said nothing a bout a FFA seeding it said it would be random.

We can't run a FFA seeding for the tournament due to time constraints. That is definitely what I wanted to do, but maybe next time we can start the tournament alot sooner to make it happen.

The main venue/tournament site is being built as we speak, so there are many other things to do such as Street Fighter IV and Tekken Tournaments etc etc
